I am an Ashland photographer because of the many stupendous opportunities for Ashland photography in Southern Oregon and the placves within it. There exist quite a few of locations I could call home, and a lot of places I’d live. Since arriving in Ashland Oregon to attend college in 1986, I have yet to be in another domicile I’d rather live in. Since starting my job as a photographer in Southern Oregon I have more reason to base myself in the Rogue Valley near Ashland. I journey quite a bit to snap in numerous different areas of the USA and the globe, but being a local Ashland, Oregon photographer I always have great openings for photography close by to home. I frequently go out to photograph in the town or in the nearby lakes and vineyards on the early end of the morning. Spring and fall are my most loved seasons of the year to take Ashland photos.
In April, Ashland is just arriving into its primo spring time. Between mid April and mid June I try to photograph Ashland or the nearby places at least once a week to keep up with the quickly changing weather conditions, blossoms and the shifting of seasons. I make many visits to a lot of my best loved destinations, such as Lithia Park, The Plaza, Main Street, Emigrant Lake, Grizzly Peak and the encircling hills.
The sister city affiliation between Ashland and Guanajuato was officially established in 1969. I have photographed many beautiful pictures in that extraordinary Mexican city also. I am lucky to have been in many beautiful and photogenic places.
While I am frequently seeking new and beautiful environs to find interesting photographs I will always remain a southern Oregon photographer and will continue to take Ashland photographs for a very long time to come.
